Naval Special Warfare Historical Foundation

As part of my work volunteering at the Navy SEAL Museum, I connected with some individuals who have made astounding contributions to our country and our well-being. With a retired Navy SEAL commander, I formed Phoca Press to publish their stories.

Our first book was the story of the last living member of Class 1 (SEALs are graduating class 313 as of this writing). Interviewing him, we discovered may be the victim of elder abuse. Bill Dawson interview at the Navy SEAL Heritage Center on Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek

Another of our books helped a Vietnam era SEAL organize his memoirs and share his story with friends, family and history buffs.

As our heroes age, families don’t always appreciate the historical value of the stories and artifacts of their loved one. We have just formed this foundation to collect and preserve the history and heritage of Naval Special Warfare forces and operations; to honor, inspire, and provide educational and motivational support; and to pay tribute and commemorate the deeds of America’s maritime special operations forces. Web site (and some very interesting events) to come.
